Privacy notice

1. What we store

• Account: your user ID, email address, plan, subscription status, the Stripe customer and subscription IDs, and when you confirmed you are 18 or older.
• Workspace: your company name and listing, verified website domains, members and their roles, brand kit and logo, and a log of workspace actions.
• Sources and videos: the text of sources you save (encrypted at rest), the prompts and slide plans made from them, the videos and stills, and share settings (who a link is shared with).
• Usage counts: how many videos you made each month, so plan allowances work.
• Promo codes: a hash of any code you redeemed, never the code itself.
• Contact messages: what you send through the Contact form, with the name and email you give.

We do not store payment card details. We do not track you across other websites, and there is no advertising on StockClip.

2. Who else processes your data

• Clerk: sign-in and account management.
• Stripe: payments. Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers.
• Railway: hosting and database.
• Groq: drafts the slides and narration for a video. It receives the source text, not your identity.
• ElevenLabs: premium narration voices, when chosen. It receives the narration text.
• Postmark: delivers Contact form messages to our team by email.
• SEC EDGAR, the GDELT Project, Finnhub and stockdata.org: filings, news and market data. They receive a ticker symbol, not your identity.
• Google Fonts: serves the typefaces on our pages; your browser requests them directly.

3. Why we store it

To run your account and workspace, make and host the videos you ask for, enforce plan allowances, process payments and answer your messages. We do not use your data to train models, and we do not sell it.

4. How long

Account, workspace and video records are kept while your account exists. A source you delete is kept 30 days and then removed for good, or at once if you delete it permanently. When you delete your account, your company, brand, sources and videos are deleted, every share link and embed stops, and your sign-in is removed. Invoices and payment records stay with Stripe as tax law requires. We keep nothing else.

5. Your rights

You can delete your account yourself from the Account menu. You can also ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, through the Contact form; we respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under GDPR, PIPEDA or similar laws.

6. Cookies

StockClip uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in, set by Clerk. There are no advertising or analytics cookies. We remember that you have seen the cookie notice in your browser’s own storage.

7. Children

StockClip is for business use by adults. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account.
