Privacy Policy

1. What we store

These are the only records StockClip keeps about you:

  • Account — your user ID, email address, plan, subscription status, and the Stripe customer and subscription IDs associated with your account.
  • Usage counts — how many videos you generated in a given month, so allowances can be enforced.
  • Generated videos — for each clip: the article title, ticker, video URL, status, and when it was made.
  • Promotion redemptions — a hash of any promo code you redeemed, never the code itself.

We do not store payment card details. We do not track you across other websites, and there is no advertising on StockClip.

2. Who else processes your data

  • Clerk — authentication and account management.
  • Stripe — payments. Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers.
  • Railway — hosting and database.
  • DeepSeek — writes the script for a clip. It receives the article text, not your identity.
  • ElevenLabs — generates narration audio, when you enable it.
  • Marketaux, Finnhub, stockdata.org, SEC EDGAR — news and market data. These receive a ticker symbol, not your identity.

The article and market data providers never receive anything identifying you. The script and voice services receive only the article content being processed.

3. Why we store it

To run your account, enforce plan allowances, process payments, and show you the videos you have made. We do not use your data to train models, and we do not sell it.

4. How long

Account and video records are kept while your account exists. Generated video files are removed on a rolling basis and are not kept indefinitely. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your records.

5. Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email the address below and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under GDPR, PIPEDA or similar laws.

6. Cookies

StockClip uses cookies only to keep you signed in, set by Clerk. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
