Terms of Use

1. What StockClip is
StockClip generates short vertical videos summarising publicly available news and regulatory filings about listed companies. You choose an article or filing; we retrieve it, extract figures from it, and assemble a video.
2. Not financial advice
Everything StockClip produces is for informational purposes only. It is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Figures are extracted automatically and may be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Verify anything you rely on against the original source, which every clip names.
3. Source material and where you may publish
StockClip labels each clip according to the kind of document it was built from, because your right to publish depends on it:
- Publishable. Clips built from regulatory filings (such as SEC EDGAR), newswire press releases, or a company's own newsroom. These documents are public record or are issued for redistribution.
- Internal use only. Clips built from a third-party publisher's article. StockClip does not hold, and cannot grant you, a licence to republish another publisher's work.
You are responsible for how you use a clip. Publishing an internal-use clip is a breach of these terms and may infringe the rights of the original publisher.
4. Your account
Accounts are handled by Clerk. You are responsible for activity under your account. The free trial allows a fixed number of videos; paid plans allow a monthly allowance shown on the pricing page. We may change allowances with notice.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use StockClip to produce content that is misleading about a security, that impersonates a person or organisation, or that presents generated material as though it were published by someone else. Do not attempt to circumvent quotas, resell access, or automate the service beyond your allowance.
6. Availability
StockClip is an early product and is provided as is, without warranty. Third-party data sources may be unavailable, rate-limited, or incomplete, and some articles cannot be read at all. We do not guarantee that any particular article will produce a video.
7. Payment and cancellation
Payments are processed by Stripe. Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through the billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, StockClip is not liable for any loss arising from use of the service or reliance on its output, including trading losses. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Material you supply
You may supply your own source material instead of choosing an article — by pasting text or attaching a .md or .csv file. When you do, you confirm at the point of submission that you have the right to use that material, and you are responsible for what the resulting clip says. We do not verify where supplied material came from and cannot; that is the point of asking.
Clips built from material you supply are marked internal use only, in the same way as clips built from a third-party publisher's article. That marking is about what we can establish, not about what you may have the right to do: if you hold the rights to your own material, those rights are unaffected by anything on this page. Your confirmation is recorded with the job.
You keep ownership of what you supply. We use it to generate the clip you asked for and retain it only as long as that job needs it. See the Privacy Policy.
10. Third-party software and design
StockClip is built on open-source software and open-licensed design work, and the visual themes derive their palettes from an MIT-licensed template set. Everything third-party that ships as part of the product, and the licence it is used under, is listed on the Licences page. Using StockClip does not grant you any rights in that third-party work beyond what those licences already allow.
